The aim of the International Relations Office at the University is organizing the bilateral agreements between universities, sending and receiving students and professors, relating the faculties and the students with other partners from abroad, integrating them in international projects.
The International Relations Office offers its capacities for organizing information meetings with outgoing students and staff, whereas for the incoming, there are printed materials in English, and also, on the website, that are used to make known the study programmes. European Credit Transfer System is coordinated by all of the composing units (Faculties) of the University.
During their stay all incoming students, beside the useful information placed on the website of the University, are invited to contact the International Relations Office about the issues related to accommodation, public transport or expenses related to food. Regarding the questions about student life, they can contact the Student Organization. Learning agreements and other related documents are issued by the faculty.
The staff which works at the International Relations Office together with the Erasmus + coordinator will ensure equal treatment and services for home students and staff and incoming mobile participants. They will be integrated into the institution`s everyday life.
The Erasmus + coordinator from the sending and receiving institutions will provide assistance, when required, in securing visas for incoming and outbound mobile participants, will provide insurance and will inform mobile participants in cases in which the insurance cover is not automatically provided.
After receiving positive experience abroad, different strategies will be organized for promoting and encouraging the mobility. First, the International Relations Office will organize a major debate about dissemination in order to share the skills, knowledge and experience gained from the other institution. It will contribute to the modernization of the curriculum, informing colleagues and students about the latest developments in a particular field of science.
Each year, the International Relations Office sends about 30 students on student exchange in Russia, Bulgaria and Serbia and our University hosts students from Russia every year in April. Since 2019, the student exchanges through the Erasmus + program have started, as well as the exchanges with the Lipetsk State University from Lipetsk, Russia, in the field of informatics.
The International Relations Office also takes care of the organization of international conferences, welcoming guests from abroad and acquainting them with the Republic of North Macedonia.
