Transfer
of Students

International Slavic University allows the transfer of students from other universities to ISU. Transfers between faculties within ISU are also permitted.

The transfer call is announced twice a year:

  • Before the start of the fall semester
  • Before the start of the spring semester

All students from other faculties in the Republic of North Macedonia and abroad have the right to transfer. Candidates enroll without taking an entrance exam.

How to
transfer

Before the transfer, you need to submit a Transcript of Records from your previous faculty. The dean will then review the transcript and you will be informed about which exams from your previous faculty can be recognized.

Depending on the number of exams you have passed and how much the program you studied matches ours, it will be determined which subjects are recognized and in which year of studies you will be enrolled.

During the transfer, there will likely be exams from our program that you will need to take (differential exams). These exams can be taken during one of our exam sessions (regular and additional) in the predetermined academic year. To take exams from previous study years, there is a one-time fee of 3000 denars per exam. If you do not pass on the first attempt, you do not pay again; you retain the right to take the exam two more times. Students are required to pass the designated subjects before the start of the next academic year, specifically by October 1 of the following academic year.

How many ECTS credits
are required for transfer?

  • If there are compatible courses with 30 ECTS credits or less in one study program at ISU, the student can transfer into the first year of the second cycle of studies.
  • If there are compatible courses with at least 31 ECTS credits in one study program at ISU, the student can transfer into the second year (only for two-year studies) of the second cycle of studies.

Tuition fees
for transfer students

For all students, the tuition fee is the same, so the same rules apply to students transferring from other universities. The tuition fee is the same for both full-time and part-time students and you only pay tuition for the years you will be studying.

We offer installment payment options and discounts for paying the full tuition fee before the start of the year. The same benefits that apply to other students also apply to those transferring. For additional discounts and benefits, check the page dedicated to tuition or scholarships.
