3rd December is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and on this day the emphasis is given to the needs and problems that this category of citizens is facing with. The society is obliged to provide free access to the institutions and fair approach and treatment of equal citizens in the society every day apart from the 3rd December.
This day was observed at the International Slavic University “G. R. Derzhavin” in Bitola by lectures being held in order the public awareness and responsibility about the persons with disabilities to be raised with special emphasis on the psychological aspects of the inclusive education.
Disability is the question of perception. We can overcome the prejudices, stereotypes and discrimination of the persons with disabilities together!
The lectures were held by Ass. Prof. Gorica Popovska Nalevska, PhD from the Faculty of Psychology within ISU, Marija Mladenovska Dimitrovska, a school psychologist of Taki Daskalo High School and an introductory lecture was held by Anita Risteska, PhD from the Faculty of Psychology within ISU.
