Anton Zlatkov is the winner of the youth chess tournament “Derzhavin 2019” which was played this weekend in Bitola, where he gained the same points as Andrej Veljanovski, but he was better after the “tie-break” criteria.

They both won 6 points from 7 games, playing twice and winning five times, and even their match ended without a winner. In the end, the judges had to choose one of them, and according to Anton Zlatkov’s propositions as a better Buchholz player (the sum of the points scored by the opponents he played with), he carried the epithet as the winner.

Delfina Ognjanovska won the Rapid Derzhavin competition.
