This week, over 3,000 of the world’s most influential figures are gathering in Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum and numerous parallel events. Starting today, January 20, the Forum transforms this small mountain town of 10,000 residents into the center of global discussions.

Presidents, government officials, and CEOs of the world’s largest companies and organizations will engage in conversations about the most pressing issues facing humanity. Alongside the official program, hundreds of parallel events—including conferences, panels, and roundtable discussions—create platforms for ideas, networking, and collaboration.

On the first day, International Slavic University took part in three significant events:

• Equality Lounge® by The Female Quotient – A platform dedicated to promoting equality and inclusion, with a focus on building sustainable and purpose-driven organizations in the new era of work.
• Open Forum – A panel discussion designed to encourage dialogue and awareness about major global issues, open to all participants.
• Welcome Dinner with 100 Davos Women – One of the most prestigious events in Davos, bringing together women leaders to share inspiring ideas and discuss the future.

International Slavic University is proud to participate in these events for the second year in a row. This year, we are also presenting our own speaker—Mihaela Gjorcheva, who will take the stage on January 22 at WeLead Lounge, an event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and Women Inspiring Network (WIN), with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The first day of the forum was filled with knowledge, ideas, and exciting new opportunities for collaboration. This week promises even more inspiring moments and fresh perspectives. Stay tuned for more updates on our participation in Davos 2025!
