Mihaela Gjorcheva, a member of the Management Board at the International Slavic University, took part in some of the most influential global platforms in Davos during the World Economic Forum this year. Through her speeches on two panels, she positioned our university as an integral part of the global network that actively contributes to societal change.
At the WeLead Lounge platform—organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and Women Inspiring Network, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation- Mihaela highlighted the crucial role of education in networking and empowering women in business. Her speech was not just a presentation, but a powerful message about the global impact education can have in fostering an equal and inclusive society.
Mihaela shared the stage with Clara Zoé Richter, Iryna Papusha, Alyse Nelson, Tetiana Petrukha and Vinita Jain. This panel, moderated by Stuti Jalan, was a chance to amplify the role education plays in building inclusive and equitable societies.
One of the key moments of her participation was the “Power of Gender Lens Investing” panel, where she discussed the role of gender equality in driving social progress. The panel, organized by Women Inspiring Network, was held at the Schatzalp Hotel in Davos. Alongside distinguished speakers such as Ajaita Shah, Nina Rauch from Lemonade, Dhivya O’Connor – CEO of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, and Shailja Mehta from Dasra, Mihaela emphasized the importance of investments that promote gender balance across various industries.
Gjorcheva also attended the World Woman Davos Agenda event as a delegate, where she joined other prominent global leaders in addressing the future of women in different industries. These discussions are yet another example of how our university creates opportunities for greater global influence.
With this remarkable presence, International Slavic University continues to be a leader in education and an active participant in shaping global change. See you again next year in Davos—with even bigger ideas and inspirations!
