Michaela Gjorcheva and Ivan Spasev, members of the Board of Directors of the International Slavic University, visited the Cleveland Clinic as part of the Forbes Under 30 Summit in the USA. During their visit, they attended a training session for operating the world’s first quantum computer solely dedicated to healthcare research.
The functioning of quantum computers differs from that of conventional computers, and the goal of this quantum computer is to accelerate biomedical research at the Cleveland Clinic. The IBM Quantum System One quantum computer, installed by IBM and the Cleveland Clinic, assists researchers in identifying new drugs and treatments more quickly.
The training session was conducted by several professors from the Cleveland Clinic, as well as doctors of science and researchers from IBM.
