The award decision, handed by the Writers’ Association of Macedonia and the Slavic University “Gavrilo Romanovich Derzhavin” from Sveti Nikole, was unanimously set the commission composed of: Ivan Chapovski (President), Stojan Tarupuza and Paskal Gilevski.
The comission evaluates that the new poetic book by Vasile Dimeski distinguishes with coherence and diligence in the development of the epic image, which in its integrity it receives as a poem with disturbing accents of facing the drama of existence and the struggle to stay above such a situation.
“The collection of the” Tonight I have eaten my soul “by Vasile Dimeski wins with his energy and impulsiveness, with the freshness of the story and his originality as a poetic project. It’s a wise, deep and simple book, “says in the decision for awarding the” Derzhavin “prize.
The ceremony of awarding the “Derzhavin” prize to Vasile Dimeski will be held in Bitola on October 12th, organized by DPM and the Gavrilo Romanovich Derzhavin University Slavic University, which donated money for this award.
Vasile Dimeski this year marked his 70th anniversary and 50 years of creative activity. He is the author of 14 poetry books, which have their place in the recent trends of contemporary Macedonian poetry. He lives and works in Prilep, said the Writers’ Association of Macedonia .
