The International Slavic University hosted a free course on “English for Higher Education Academics,” organized by Atlas Language School from Dublin, Ireland. The event, which took place successfully on February 19 and 20 in Sveti Nikole, attracted interest from lecturers and professors from higher education institutions in North Macedonia, as well as other interested participants.
The course instructor was Paul Finerty, Erasmus+ coordinator and lecturer from Atlas Language School, who focused on pronunciation and various techniques for delivering lectures during the sessions. Particular attention was paid to the application of artificial intelligence in education and its impact on academic integrity, a topic that sparked significant interest and discussion among participants.
Participants had the opportunity to attend two sessions each day, with networking and experience exchange opportunities after the lectures. The lectures concluded with a Q&A session, allowing participants to directly communicate with the instructor and receive additional advice and guidance for their professional growth and development.
This initiative represents a significant step towards improving the quality of higher education and preparing instructors to tackle the challenges of the international educational environment.
