With deep sorrow, we share that the first rector of the International Slavic University, Prof. Dr. Dušan Nikolovski, passed away on July 4, 2023.

Prof. Dr. Dušan Nikolovski was born in 1947 and devoted the last years of his life to the development of the International Slavic University. During his tenure as rector, he brought a vision of knowledge exchange, international cooperation, and academic partnerships.

He was known for his openness and collaboration with his students and colleagues. His door was always open, and his advice was sought by many. He fostered a culture of mentorship and encouraged the personal growth and development of colleagues and students, enabling the International Slavic University to become a hub of collaboration and mentorship.

His dedication and transformative vision shaped the lives of many students who had the privilege to study at the International Slavic University.

Prof. Dr. Dušan Nikolovski leaves behind a profound void, but his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. We honor his memory by carrying forward and applying his vision for our institution – through collaboration, knowledge exchange, mutual understanding, and respect.
