Kinoverzum, the cinema chain of the International Slavic University, is a partner of the 9th edition of the Kinenova International Film Festival, taking place from October 15 to 20 in Skopje. We extend our gratitude to the festival director, Nebojsha Jovanovic, for the successful collaboration with Kinoverzum and commend his dedication, which contributed to the successful organization of this important edition.
At the official opening held at the Frosina Cinema on October 15, Austrian director Ulrich Seidl was awarded the prestigious Golden Mane for his outstanding contribution to the art of cinema. We are proud to announce that all remaining events, including the festival’s closing ceremony, will take place at Kinoverzum in Kisela Voda, at the Cultural Center “Biljana Belichanec.”
This year’s festival brings an inspiring theme: “Which Came First? The Film or the Story?”—creating an opportunity to explore the relationship between storytelling and visual art. The festival opened with the Macedonian film “John Vardar vs. the Galaxy” by director Goce Cvetanovski, the first full-length animated film in North Macedonia.
We invite all film and art enthusiasts to join us for this unforgettable event and be part of a cinematic journey filled with inspiration and creativity.
