Our student Biljana Serafimovska climbed Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain range in Africa. It is located in northeastern Tanzania, on the border with Kenya.
Biljana climbed the highest peak in the Alps, Mont Blanc (4,807 meters) at the age of 16, and became the youngest Macedonian who climbed the peak. Then she also climbed Elbrus (5,642 m asl), becoming the youngest girl in the Balkans who managed to step on the roof of Europe and received award from the Russian Federation of Alpinism.
At the age of 18 she climbed to the top of the Iceland Peak (6,189 m) in the Himalayas. In 2011, at the age of twenty-two, she was part of an international expedition for climbing the highest peak in J. America – Aconcagua (6,962 m).
