From May 13 to 17, 2024, 15 students from the Student Association at the International Slavic University participated in the youth conference titled “Promoting Youth Engagement in Agriculture and Farm to Fork Policy” in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The aim of the conference was to connect educational institutions and industry, allowing young minds to engage in various discussions, exchange ideas, viewpoints, and experiences. The students were introduced to contemporary challenges in agriculture, such as climate change, food safety, biodiversity loss, and the need for sustainable solutions.
In addition to our students, the conference featured participants from Italy, Spain, Croatia, Hungary, Bangladesh, Denmark, and Azerbaijan, facilitating an international exchange of knowledge and perspectives.
Our students actively participated in all discussions and workshops, demonstrating great interest and a desire to learn and contribute to a better future for agriculture. Their engagement and dedication to the topics highlighted the importance of the youth voice in policy-making and sustainable solutions for global challenges.
The International Slavic University proudly supports the participation of its students in such significant events and will continue to promote activities that encourage academic and professional development. This conference was an excellent opportunity for our students to gain new knowledge, build a network of contacts, and become inspired for future initiatives that will have a positive impact on society and the environment.
