On April 20, 2023 (Thursday), one of the most renowned Indian actresses, Rajshree Deshpande, visited the International Slavic University and the Cinematic Universe. Together with our famous actor, Meto Jovanovski, they spoke to the students of ISU about their acting beginnings and how their careers started in the world of art.

The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Sonja Rizoska Jovanovska, Director of the Institute of Culture at ISU. Also present at the event was Mr. Michaela Gjorcheva, founder of the unique Macedonian cinema chain, Cinematic Universe, and a member of the Board of Directors of ISU.

Rajshree Deshpande is an Indian actress who became popular with her role in the movie “Sacred Games,” and her series “Trial by Fire” was number 1 on Netflix in India.

She began her acting career in the theater, performing in plays throughout India, studied law, and worked in marketing before getting involved in acting. In addition to her acting work, Deshpande is a strong advocate for women’s rights. She is the founder of a foundation focused on empowering women through education and entrepreneurship.

Meto Jovanovski is one of the leading drama artists in North Macedonia, having played roles in numerous theater productions and films. He is also the recipient of numerous awards in our country and beyond.
