Students from the Faculty of Psychology at the International Slavic University, under the mentorship of Prof. Gorica Popovska Nalevska, PhD completed a four-week traineeship in primary and secondary schools in Bitola during the summer semester. This traineeship aimed to apply theoretical knowledge in a real school environment, providing students with the opportunity to work directly with pupils and gain valuable experience.
The success of the traineeship motivated second-year students to organize a final workshop with the pupils on the topic “Dealing with Violent Behavior and Constructive Conflict Resolution.” This workshop was an excellent opportunity for the students to apply their knowledge in practice and to contribute to the development of important social skills among the pupils.
We express our deep gratitude for the open collaboration with the primary schools “St. Cyril and Methodius,” “Elpida Karamandi,” and the secondary school “Taki Daskalo” in Bitola. Special thanks to the school psychologists who dedicatedly worked with our students, guiding them through the traineeship process and sharing their experiences and knowledge.
This type of traineeship not only contributes to the professional development of our students but also positively impacts the pupils, offering them new perspectives and methods for dealing with everyday challenges.
Enrollment for the Faculty of Psychology is now open.
