Last weekend, 26-27 September in Germany, Wasserkuppe hosted the 4th World Paragliding Accuracy World Cup (Wasserkuppe, Germany), in which our student and Macedonian representative, Borjan Jovanoski, took part. He said:
“I am very happy to be on the World Cup pedestal, in fact, I won the 2nd place, especially the World Cup with the biggest and highest quality competition. The pilots who have been world and European champions have competed, this World Cup was of such a high rank as the finals of the Champions League in football. I promise that with even more preparation for the next World Cup, or the next season, if I attend all the World Cups I will win the gold of the overall ranking of the World Cups. ”
Although the conditions were not ideal this time Borjan Jovanski, who was the youngest competitor, won the prestigious second place with 15 negative points, in competition from 60 competitors from 11 different countries. The first place went to Matijas Feraric (Slovenia) with 8 negative points, which ranks 3rd in the World ranking list. The third place went to Dragan Popov (Serbia) with 26 negative points, which is in the 10th place on the World ranking list.
Borjan’s team won the 2nd place in the team competition. Besides the excellent results from the previous championship in Bulgaria, this is another proof that Macedonia can boast of quality athletes, athletes who rank high on the World ranking list, athletes – ambassadors of Macedonia in the world.
As a socially responsible institution, the International Slavic University “G. R. Derzhavin “understands the need for investing in the future of talented young people and that is why we support Borjan not only as our student, but as a talented Macedonian. Borjan, we are proud of you!
