Skopje, Kiselа Voda – on the evening of March 15, 2024, on the red carpet with numerous guests and in a solemn atmosphere, the fourth cinema of Kinoverzum was opened. With this, Kinoverzum once again brought back the film magic to Kiselа Voda after 35 years, and that at the same location where the old cinema was previously located. Kinoverzum in Kiselа Voda is situated in the completely renovated House of Culture ‘Biljana Belichanec.’
At the grand opening, the ribbon was cut by Prof. Jordan Gjorchev, PhD, founder of the International Slavic University, together with our acting legend, Goce Todorovski, and the mayor of the Municipality of Kiselа Voda, Orce Gjorgievski. Actor Rubens Muratovski, in an emotional address, emphasized the significance of Kinoverzum for the cultural life in the municipality, while Mayor Gjorgievski highlighted the sentimental importance of the old cinema for the residents and underscored the significance of the new facility as a historic moment for all film lovers in the municipality.
The opening of Kinoverzum in Kiselа Voda marks the beginning of a new chapter for the unique Macedonian cinema chain, Kinoverzum, which started operating at the International Slavic University in Sveti Nikole in 2019, and then expanded to Stip and Veles. As emphasized by Prof. Jordan Gjorchev, PhD, Kinoverzum represents a domestic brand with the potential to expand its presence beyond the borders of North Macedonia. In 2022, Kinoverzum was also part of the list by the prestigious American magazine Forbes when its founder, MSc. Mihaela Gjorcheva, was listed in the 30 Under 30 for Europe.
Following the grand opening, attendees had the exclusive opportunity to enjoy the global film hit ‘Dune: Part Two,’ marking the beginning of a new era in cinematic art in the heart of Kiselа Voda.
