A group of students from the Faculty of law within the International Slavic University took part in the final conference “Advancing Judicial Reform – Towards Restoring Citizens’ Trust in the Judicial System” which was held on 29th March, as a hybrid event in the Hotel Alexander Palace Skopje and with online participation through the ZOOM platform.
The conference was organized on the occasion of the Macedonian Judiciary Day (March 31st, 2022) as a final event of the project “For Justice – Monitoring the implementation of the Strategy for Judicial Reform in 2021” supported by the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia.
The purpose of the conference was to encourage debate between judicial institutions and civil society organizations in order to identify measures necessary to restore citizens’ trust in the justice system in anticipation of the start of the process of drafting a new strategic document for reform in this area.
The key findings and conclusions of the Shadow Report on the Implementation of 2021 Judicial Reform Strategy developed by the Blueprint Group were also presented at the conference.
