
ISU at the 6th Global Education Summit at Chandigarh University in India
5 October 2026Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Management Board of International Slavic University (ISU), delivered a speech entitled “Promoting Ethical Use of AI for a Sustainable Society” at the Global Education Summit hosted by Chandigarh University in India.
Her presentation focused on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in education and society, as well as its role in building a sustainable future.
The session was chaired by H.E. Sena Latif, Ambassador of Romania to India, and co-chaired by Prof. João Ponciano from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Other participants included Sarinthree Udchachone from Mahasarakham University, Thailand, and Dawid Matuszek from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland.
The participation of representatives from different countries and academic backgrounds provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and perspectives on the application of artificial intelligence and the challenges it presents.
ISU’s participation continues in the next programme session, where Prof. Dr. Marija Grozdanovska and Asst. Prof. Dr. Martin Gjorgjiev will deliver a presentation entitled “Sharing Healthy Practices in the Use of AI-Oriented Technologies to Achieve SDGs.” Their presentation will focus on healthy and responsible practices in using artificial intelligence-based technologies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
This year’s summit brings together more than 90 global leaders and representatives of over 65 universities from more than 30 countries, creating a platform for international dialogue on the future of higher education.
