On Saturday, October 25th, 2014, starting at 6:00 pm, the Sveti Nikole’s audience will have a rare opportunity to hear the most popular Russian songs and romances at the great amphitheater of the International Slavic University “G. R. Derzhavin “- Sveti Nikole sung by the Chorus of the Valaam Monastery from Russia.
The composition of the choir includes well-known professional musicians from St. Petersburg, graduates of the St. Petersburg Choral School in the State Academic Chapel “MI Glinka” and the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, “N. A. Rymski-Korsakov”, Vladimir Miller (bass profundo) , soloist at the Bolshoi Theater, Mikhail Kruglov, bass profundo, Dmitry Popov (counter-tenor), Alexander Bordak (tenor), as well as other graduated and affirmed singers, and the choir will be directed by Alexei Zhukov.
This is a unique and rare cultural event worth watching.
In addition to the performance of the choir, the same evening at the International Slavic University – Sveti Nikole will open the exhibition titled “World Fire”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of World War I, prepared by the Association of the Russian Diaspora in Macedonia.
