On March 31, 2023, a delegation from the International Slavic University visited Lovely Professional University, one of the largest universities in India, sprawling over a campus larger than 240 hectares and hosting more than 40,000 students.

Michaela Gjorcheva and Ivan Spasev, members of the Management Board of the International Slavic University, held a meeting with the staff from the International Relations Office at Lovely Professional University – Dr. Navin Agarwal, Deputy Director, Dr. Shaista Manzoor, and Dr. Rahul Chabra. A meeting was also held with the Deputy Director of Lovely Professional University – Dr. Aman Mittal.

The sports facilities at Lovely Professional University were also visited, and our representatives attended a match of the team sport kabaddi, which is popular in India and other Asian countries. Lovely Professional University places great emphasis on sports and has many students and alumni who have won medals at the Olympic Games.

During the meeting, discussions were held on deepening cooperation between the two universities across multiple fields. Meetings were also held with deans and professors from several faculties including business, psychology, and informatics. As part of the visit, it was agreed that representatives from the International Slavic University would participate in a summit organized by Lovely Professional University, scheduled to take place in October 2023.
