Dear students, colleagues, and collaborators of ISU,
As we stand on the threshold of the new year 2024, these moments remind me of the powerful words of Anatole France: “To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream; not only plan but also believe.” These words encapsulate the spirit of our university, which in the coming year will celebrate its 20th anniversary since its founding.
When our university was established in 2004 in Sveti Nikole, it was more than just the creation of a higher education institution – it was the realization of a dream. A dream that believed in the transformative power of education, a dream that was carefully brought to life with determination and hope. Over the years, this dream has continued to develop and grow, turning our visions into reality, expanding our activities, and extending our commitment beyond our initial boundaries.
Our journey from these humble beginnings to becoming one of the largest higher education institutions in the country reflects the words of Anatole France. We dreamed of creating a free and inspiring academic community, believed in our mission, and acted according to our convictions and plans. We are pleased to say that our university has grown into a crossroads where knowledge from all corners of the world is united and shared. This approach has not only helped us develop the university but has also brought numerous domestic and international recognitions for our contributions to education, culture, literature, and our commitment to the community we serve.
As we prepare for the holidays and eagerly await 2024, let us remember the dream and the faith that have guided us for two decades. Let us continue to dream, work, plan, and fully believe in the potential of our university and its staff and students.
This New Year, we toast to our past achievements, the projects we are currently implementing, and an even better future for everyone. Happy New Year, and may our journey in the coming year be as inspiring as the path we have traveled so far!
Happy Holidays!
