On October 28, with the screening of the film Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, the Turkish Movie Nights were officially opened at the Kinoverzum cinemas in Shtip and Kisela Voda. The event, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Skopje, is held in honor of Republic Day and the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey.
At the opening ceremony in Kisela Voda, the Ambassador, H.E. Fatih Ulusoy and the President of the Management Board of the International Slavic University, Prof. Jordan Gjorchev, PhD, were in attendance. They highlighted the importance of this event for strengthening cultural ties between the two brotherly nations.
In Kinoverzum Shtip, representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Skopje were present. Through these film nights, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a carefully selected film program that reflects the rich Turkish cinematography.
With free admission for all interested, a different Turkish film with English subtitles will be screened each evening until October 31. The event aims to deepen cultural cooperation and friendship between the two countries, with plans for next year to expand the Turkish Movie Nights across all Kinoverzum cinemas.
