Prof. Vasko Stamevski, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at the International Slavic University, participated in the 9th International Zagreb Security Forum, held on October 11 and 12, 2024, in Zagreb.
The event, organized by the Institute for Hybrid Warfare Research, the “St. George” Association, and the Dr. Franjo Tudman Defense and Security University, brought together the most influential security experts from Central and Southeastern Europe.
As a leading annual platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas about the future of security relations, this year’s theme was “Strengthening Democracy: Protecting Freedom and Society.” Prof. Stamevski actively participated in discussions and workshops alongside representatives from over 25 NATO member countries and other nations, where the latest insights and experiences on developing security strategies in the region were shared.
The forum was attended by approximately 160 experts from various backgrounds, over 40% of whom were international participants, with the goal of encouraging international cooperation and a joint approach to security challenges. The official language of the forum was English, and attendees had the opportunity for direct communication and online networking with speakers and participants.
Prof. Stamevski’s participation in this renowned event represents a significant contribution to advancing international cooperation in the field of security and reaffirms the International Slavic University’s commitment to research and development.
