On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Mihaela Gjorcheva, a member of the Management Board of the International Slavic University and founder of Kinoverzum, participated in the Forbes 30/50 Summit held in Abu Dhabi from March 5th to 8th, 2024. The Forbes 30/50 Summit is held for the third consecutive year and this year it brought together over 350 successful women from 46 countries, spanning two Forbes lists (under 30 and over 50), with Mihaela Gjorcheva being part of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Europe in 2022.

During the summit, Mihaela Gjorcheva also had meetings with the global music icon Shania Twain and with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. Besides her role as the First Lady of Canada and wife of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is known for her work in the areas of mental health, gender equality, and emotional literacy.

The main focus of the event was mentorship. World leaders from politics and business shared their experiences and mentored the new generations of entrepreneurs. The goal was to create lifelong connections. The event showcased how, for women, experience, wisdom and leadership mean that success no longer has an expiration date.

The event, organized by the prestigious American magazine Forbes, was attended by some of the most significant female leaders globally. Hosting the event this year was Mika Brzezinski and numerous speakers, including Nobel Peace Prize laureates, successful entrepreneurs and influential leaders from various sectors, delivered addresses.

Participants had the opportunity to engage in various sessions covering a wide range of topics, from leadership and entrepreneurship to mental health and gender equality. The summit also offered mentoring sessions, networking platforms, as well as informal socializing and acquainting with the local culture through excursions and desert entertainment, attended by Shania Twain.

The summit concluded with a gala dinner at the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, where awards and recognitions were presented to several female leaders, including Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first female president of Liberia and the music star Shania Twain.

Mihaela Gjorcheva is part of the Forbes Under 30 – 2022 list, which highlights over 30 of the most successful young entrepreneurs in Europe. She is the founder of the unique Macedonian cinema chain, Kinoverzum and a member of the Management Board of the International Slavic University.
