Mihaela Gjorcheva Represents International Slavic University at Nest Climate Campus in New York
27 September 2025Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Management Board at International Slavic University and founder of Kinoverzum, delivered a featured address at the prestigious WIN Lounge event in New York, held during Climate Week NYC, in parallel with the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80).
The panel, titled “The Planet Playbook: Women Leaders Reshaping the Climate Economy,” was moderated by Emma Hinchliffe, editor of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list. In her remarks, Mihaela Gjorcheva emphasized the vital role of education in tackling climate change, highlighting that true progress begins with knowledge, awareness, and generations prepared for responsible leadership.
Joining Gjorcheva on the panel were Tea Trumbic from the World Bank and Amanda Ellis, former ambassador to the United Nations. Organized by Women Inspiring Network (WIN), the event featured nine panel sessions dedicated to global themes in sustainability, innovation, and women’s leadership.





The event also featured an address by Jayant Chaudhary, India’s Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Education. He underscored the importance of human capital in accelerating the green transition and shared India’s innovative approaches to education and skills development.

Mihaela Gjorcheva’s participation is a significant milestone for International Slavic University, especially as the university introduces new academic programs focused on sustainability and safety.
