Representatives of International Slavic University today attended a working lunch with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Jiang Xiaoyan, where discussions focused on academic and business cooperation, modern technologies, and opportunities for their practical application in the educational process.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Jordan Gjorchev, PhD, President of the Management Board of International Slavic University; Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Management Board; Ivan Spasev, Member of the Management Board; and Dejan Gavrilovski, General Manager of OneDrone Macedonia, the official distributor of DJI drones and additional drone-related equipment.

Particular emphasis was placed on the cooperation between International Slavic University and OneDrone Macedonia, within which professional drone piloting training courses are jointly organized. The discussions focused on advancing education and the practical application of drone technology, as well as on developing qualified professionals for its responsible use in areas such as surveying and mapping, agriculture, infrastructure, public safety, protection and rescue, fire safety, and industrial inspections.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss further academic cooperation with higher education institutions from the People’s Republic of China, following the visit of representatives of International Slavic University to Xiamen University.

The aim is to create opportunities for joint research using drone technology and to further connect academic knowledge with modern technological solutions and their practical application.
