8 August 2023The International Slavic University has strengthened its European academic mission through Jean Monnet activities in the field of human rights, creating a space where knowledge of human rights evolves into real experience, dialogue, and practical application. This initiative represents a significant step in enhancing both academic and societal awareness of European values and the legal mechanisms for their protection.
The program commenced on July 10, 2023, with an informational webinar that provided an introduction to the project’s structure and themes, laying the foundation for further academic engagement.
The teaching process began on July 12, 2023, with a roundtable discussion, which also marked the official start of the lectures within the project. The lectures are conducted over a period of 20 days, ensuring a continuous and in-depth academic experience for all participants, accompanied by interaction, exchange of perspectives, and active involvement in academic debate.
On July 17, 2023, as part of the lecture activities, a simulation of proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights was conducted, giving participants the opportunity to engage with realistic scenarios and develop practical skills of exceptional importance.
These activities create an environment in which participants are shaped as future leaders, actively involved in the development of European values and standards, bridging theory with real-world application and positioning themselves as relevant contributors to contemporary societal developments.
The project is implemented by Prof. Marija Grozdanovska, PhD and Prof. Elizabeta Spiroska, PhD with support from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, further confirming its relevance and strategic importance.
Through such initiatives, the International Slavic University continues to build a modern academic environment that fosters knowledge, practical expertise, and active participation in European educational and societal processes.
