On April 26 and 27, 2023, the International Slavic University participated in a virtual higher education summit in Sri Lanka, whose main theme was “Networking and Cooperation between Asia and Europe.” The event was attended by more than 200 participants from higher education institutions, agencies for foreign student recruitment, potential students, and companies from multiple Asian countries.
At the summit, Michaela Gjorcheva, a member of the Board of Directors of the International Slavic University, delivered a speech. Victoria Velkova and Sofija Radonchikj from the International Relations Office at ISU held discussions with students and answered questions related to the study programs offered by our five faculties. Other higher education institutions from North Macedonia also participated in the summit.
The participation in the virtual summit was organized in coordination with the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility, which promotes participation in events of great importance for strengthening capacities in higher education and enhancing the international dimension. Aleksandar Bogoevski, Head of the Mobility Department in the field of higher education, adult education, and youth, addressed the summit on behalf of the National Agency.
The event provided an opportunity to establish contacts with potential students and professionals from Sri Lanka interested in studying in Europe, promote our study programs in Sri Lanka, and explore partnership opportunities with universities from Sri Lanka.
