10 June 2026International Slavic University participated in one of the most significant events in the field of management supported by the Academy of Management—the 8th International Conference on Management and Organization (ICMO 2026) in Montenegro.
Organized by the Montenegrin Academy of Management (MAOM) and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro, with support from the Academy of Management—the world’s largest and most influential professional association in the field of management—the conference provided a global platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas and establishing new academic partnerships.
Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Management Board of International Slavic University and a doctoral student at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana, presented her research at ICMO 2026, one of the largest international academic gatherings in this field ever held in Montenegro.
At the conference, she presented her research paper, “Methodological Adaptations of Netnography Across Digital Platforms: An Integrative Review of Consumer Research.”
The presentation formed part of the “Research Methods, Open Science & Management Education” session, chaired by Professor H. Cenk Sözen, PhD, President of the Turkish Academy of Management. This further emphasized the importance and relevance of the discussions in which the research was presented.
Held from June 3 to 6 at Hotel Maestral in Budva under the theme “Sustainability by Design: Rethinking Strategy, People & Digital Futures,” the conference brought together more than 300 researchers, professors, business leaders, and institutional representatives from over 45 countries.
As a member of the Academy of Management, Mihaela Gjorcheva will represent International Slavic University at its annual meeting in Philadelphia, United States, at the end of July 2026.
