Youth and Identity in the Digital Age: An Interactive Workshop at the Faculty of Psychology in Bitola
9 March 2026International Slavic University hosted a formal event celebrating the Chinese New Year—the Year of the Fire Horse. The evening was filled with music, culture, and friendship. Held in the University amphitheater, the event marked an important occasion for cultural exchange and the strengthening of friendly relations between the Macedonian and Chinese peoples.
Guests were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Jordan Gjorchev, President of the Management Board of International Slavic University, who extended a warm welcome to those in attendance and emphasized the importance of international cooperation, cultural dialogue, and mutual respect for one another’s traditions.


The program featured remarks by several distinguished guests. The audience was addressed by Dejan Vladev, Mayor of the Municipality of Sveti Nikole; H.E. Jiang Xiaoyan, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of North Macedonia; and Ljupcho Malenkov, President of the Macedonian-Chinese Friendship Association. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation, friendship, and further strengthening the ties between the two countries.


A special highlight of the evening was a concert by the Sveti Nikolaj Mandolin Orchestra from Sveti Nikole. Its performance contributed to the festive atmosphere and enriched the program with musical pieces that were warmly received by the audience.
The event took place in an exceptionally warm and celebratory atmosphere, reaffirming the role of International Slavic University as a place that fosters cultural exchange, international friendship, and shared values.
