Mihaela Gjorcheva from ISU Delivers a Speech at the Global Education Summit in India: Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence for a Sustainable Society
7 October 2026A delegation from International Slavic University (ISU) is participating in the 6th Global Education Summit at Chandigarh University in India. This marks ISU’s fourth participation in the event, which brings together representatives of universities from around the world and creates opportunities for academic cooperation and the exchange of experiences.
The ISU delegation consists of:
- Prof. Dr. Marija Grozdanovska, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Development;
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Martin Gjorgjiev, Secretary General;
- Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Management Board;
- Ivan Spasev, Member of the Management Board.
The summit was officially opened in the presence of ambassadors, diplomats, the owner and Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University, as well as its Director of International Relations, Rajan Sharma.
Chandigarh University is an important international partner of ISU. Just 14 years after its establishment, the university has achieved 526th place in the QS World University Rankings 2027.
As part of the summit, discussions are underway regarding the establishment of dual-degree bachelor’s and master’s programmes in the field of artificial intelligence. The aim is to combine the expertise and academic capacities of both universities and create new international educational opportunities for students.
ISU representatives will deliver presentations on two topics dedicated to the responsible use of artificial intelligence and its contribution to sustainable development.
On 6 October 2026, Mihaela Gjorcheva and Ivan Spasev will deliver a presentation entitled “Promoting Ethical Use of AI for a Sustainable Society.”
On 7 October 2026, Marija Grozdanovska and Martin Gjorgjiev will speak on the topic “Sharing Healthy Practices in the Use of AI-Oriented Technologies to Achieve SDGs.”
The summit programme also includes a campus tour, providing the delegation with an opportunity to explore the university’s infrastructure and facilities for teaching, research, and student life.
ISU will also participate in a higher education fair, where it will present its study programmes and educational opportunities to an international audience.
International Slavic University extends its congratulations to Chandigarh University on its remarkable achievements and expresses its gratitude for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
