11 November 2025On November 5, 2025, an event marking International Romani Language Day was held in the ceremonial hall of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia. The event was organized by Dr. Shaban Saliu, Minister without Portfolio responsible for the integration and implementation of the 2022–2030 Strategy for Roma Inclusion.
The event was attended by representatives of institutions, organizations, and higher education institutions, including International Slavic University, represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Vasko Stamevski and Secretary General Associate Prof. Dr. Martin Gjorgjiev.
The ceremony emphasized the importance of preserving the Romani language and culture, as well as the need to provide continuous support to young Roma in their education and social development.
International Slavic University stands out as the only private university in the country that awards scholarships to Roma students, actively contributing to inclusion, equal opportunities, and social responsibility in higher education.
The University reaffirms its commitment to the values of diversity, tolerance, and accessible education for all.
