24 March 2026On March 18, 2026, a one-day seminar titled “Healthy Workplaces: Managing Stress in the Workplace; Costs and Benefits of Implementing Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems” was held at International Slavic University in Sveti Nikole. The seminar was organized by the Institute of Engineering Economics–Sveti Nikole in cooperation with the Macedonian Occupational Safety Association. Its purpose was to highlight the importance of workplace stress management and the economic aspects of implementing occupational safety and health systems.

The program covered the causes and symptoms of workplace stress, methods for identifying it, and strategies for its management and prevention. Particular emphasis was placed on the economic approach to preventing workplace injuries and analyzing the costs associated with accidents and occupational diseases.
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Slagjana Angelkoska, PhD in Psychological Sciences and professor at International Slavic University, and Assoc. Prof. Martin Gjorgiev, PhD in Economics at International Slavic University.

The seminar was intended for managers, executives, directors, occupational safety and health professionals, and employees working in human resources, legal affairs, finance, and production. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills in stress management and the improvement of occupational safety and health.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience and to promote practices that contribute to a healthier and more productive working environment.
