28 April 2026On April 22, the latest academic work by university professor Zhivko Mitrevski, PhD, titled International Labor Law and Trade Union Syntheses and Practices, was officially presented at Hotel Elsa – Angels in Skopje.
The publication is an important work dedicated to the nature of labor amid contemporary global challenges shaped by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digitalization, changes in the labor market, geostrategic divisions, migration, globalization, and neoliberal policies.
In his work, the author offers analytical syntheses and comparative perspectives while raising essential questions about the need for a new social contract, the modernization of trade union organization, improvements to labor legislation, international standards for collective bargaining, the position of young people in the labor market, and the future of labor relations.












Particular emphasis was placed on issues related to worker participation and the need to establish specialized labor courts as an important step toward more effective protection of workers’ rights.
The publication’s reviewers—Professor Lazar Jovevski, PhD, Professor Mevledin Mustafi, PhD, and Professor Orde Gorgieski, PhD—addressed the attendees and emphasized the work’s academic and practical value.
