Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Management Board of International Slavic University, participated in the Third Nordic-Iberian Doctoral Workshop in Business Economics, held at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zaragoza, Spain.

As a doctoral student at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana, she presented her ongoing research on the role of influencers during social media firestorms, titled “Calming or Fueling the Firestorm? Influencer Roles and Consumer Responses through the Lens of the #Blockout2024 Social Media Firestorm.”

During the doctoral workshop, Gjorcheva participated in several academic sessions, roundtable discussions, networking activities, and workshops dedicated to contemporary challenges in business economics, sustainability, financial markets, and the application of artificial intelligence in research.

The event was officially opened by Dean Professor Ana Yetano, PhD. Participants also had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Andrés Almazán from the University of Texas at Austin, United States.

Doctoral students and researchers from several European universities participated in the event, providing opportunities to exchange ideas, establish international academic connections, and discuss current research topics.
