
Davos: Mihaela Gjorcheva from ISU attended a panel discussion featuring one of the most cited scientists, Yoshua Bengio
21 January 2026During 2026 World Economic Forum Week in Davos, Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the Board at International Slavic University and founder of Kinoverzum movie theaters, took stage as the moderator of one of the WIN Lounge’s standout panels, bringing together key voices in geopolitics, innovation, and global leadership.
The panel, titled “Geopolitics & Power: Women at the Helm of Global Influence,” featured high-level speakers:
- Henk Rogers, Co-Founder of Tetris and founder of Blue Planet Alliance
- Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)
- Arti Gupta, Chief Investment Officer at DM Gupta, India
As moderator, Gjorcheva led a strategic dialogue on power transformation, inclusive leadership, and the growing influence of women in top decision-making arenas. The discussion offered diverse insights into leadership, technology, and diplomacy, capturing the attention of Davos’ international community.






The event was organized by the prestigious Women Inspiring Network, a leading Indian platform focused on women’s empowerment and education in business, and was officially supported by the International Slavic University. This marks another step forward in the university’s global mission to elevate dialogue on inclusion, leadership, and progressive change across sectors.
Beyond moderating, Mihaela Gjorcheva was invited as a panelist in “The Future of Capital: Funding Inclusive Innovation and Purpose-Led Ventures”, moderated by Matthew Kittay, Co-Chair, National M&A Practice Group, Fox Rothschild (USA). She shared the stage with thought leaders and investors from the United States and India. During WEF week, she actively participated in more than 15 high-level events.


Mihaela Gjorcheva is currently a doctoral student at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana, and frequently speaks at major global gatherings including New York, Cannes, Davos, and India. Her presence in Davos once again confirms her role as a strategic voice for innovation, gender equity, and international collaboration.
