New York: Mihaela Gjorcheva Speaks at Climate Week NYC During UN General Assembly 80
26 September 2025In New York, Climate Week NYC 2025 has begun – the world’s most significant global event dedicated to climate change and sustainable development—traditionally held in parallel with the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
International Slavic University proudly announces that it is participating in this global gathering for the first time. The University is represented through the active participation of Mihaela Gjorcheva, Vice President of the MSU Management Board and founder of Kinoverzum. She will take part in a total of four events during Climate Week, including one speaking engagement.
The week opened with the prestigious Forbes Sustainability Leaders Summit 2025, held at the headquarters of Forbes magazine on Fifth Avenue. The event brought together world-renowned leaders, visionaries, and sustainability experts. Notable speakers included actor and long-time environmental activist Harrison Ford, primatologist and conservation activist Jane Goodall, as well as experts and representatives from NASA and companies such as Cisco and Apple, recognized as global leaders in the adoption of sustainable practices. The presence of the Mayor of Cleveland, Justin Bibb, further underscored the importance of cities’ involvement in addressing climate challenges.
