International Slavic University Hosts an IT Specialist from Turkey
3 April 2026International Slavic University is organizing an expert lecture titled “Psychosocial Aspects of Oncological Diseases.” The lecture will be delivered by Rosita Andonova, MA, a psychologist and psychotherapist at Gevgelija General Hospital. Drawing on her extensive professional experience, she will share practical knowledge and guidance on working with this group of patients.
The lecture will be held at International Slavic University and will focus on understanding the psychological responses of patients with cancer, improving the support provided to them, and developing practical skills among psychology students and future health care professionals. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about contemporary approaches to psychosocial care and the importance of integrating mental health support into cancer treatment.
The event is being organized as part of the global World Psycho-Oncology Day 2026 initiative, supported by the International Psycho-Oncology Society. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of psychosocial support in cancer care and its integration into modern health care systems.
