9 April 2026On April 8, in observance of the International Day of the Roma Community, Assoc. Prof. Martin Gjorgjiev, PhD, General Secretary of International Slavic University, attended the central event organized by the Office of Mr. Shaban Saliu, Minister without Portfolio responsible for the integration and implementation of the 2022–2030 Roma Inclusion Strategy. The event was held at Park by Ragusa Group.
The event featured addresses by Prof. Hristijan Mickoski, PhD, Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, and Mr. Afrim Gashi, President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The event brought together key institutional and community stakeholders, creating an opportunity for strategic dialogue and stronger cooperation toward building a more inclusive and equitable society.
With representatives of the diplomatic corps, ambassadors, ministers, directors, mayors, members of Parliament, numerous guests, and members of the Roma community from across the country—as well as Roma representatives from Turkey, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, and other countries—the event had a significant international dimension.
