ISU Participated in the Open Career Day at Kocho Racin Secondary School in Sveti Nikole
3 June 2026Professor Slagjana Angjelkoska, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology at International Slavic University and member of the Management Board of the Chamber of Psychologists of the Republic of Macedonia, participated in the 74th Congress of Psychologists of Serbia.
For the first time, the congress brought together representatives of regional chambers and professional associations of psychologists to exchange experiences and best practices related to the legal regulation of psychological practice.
Professor Angjelkoska participated as a panelist in the roundtable discussion “Opportunities and Limitations of the Law on Psychological Practice: Experiences from the Region.” Representatives from Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina shared their experiences regarding the regulation of the profession, professional standards, ethical issues, and the role of professional chambers in protecting and advancing psychological practice. The participants included Branka Ćalasan, Josip Lopižić, and Remzija Šetić.
The roundtable addressed the benefits, challenges, and shortcomings of laws governing psychological practice and psychotherapy, as well as their practical application in different countries throughout the region.
As emphasized during the event, regional cooperation and the exchange of experiences are extremely important because they enable professionals to learn from different models of practice and contribute to the continued development and advancement of the psychology profession across the region.
