16 June 2026Today, the lecture “Cybersecurity 2026: What Can We Expect?” was successfully held at International Slavic University in Sveti Nikole. The event focused on the most pressing issues in cybersecurity and digital protection in contemporary society.
The event was opened by Professor Jordan Gjorchev, PhD, President of the Management Board of International Slavic University. The lecture was delivered by Professor Hadžib Salkić, PhD, who presented the latest global trends, risks, and challenges arising from rapid technological development to an audience of students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and interested members of the public.
The lecture addressed several topics of particular importance for the future of digital security, including cyberthreats expected in 2026, the impact of artificial intelligence on security systems, the protection of personal and business data, and practical guidelines for the safe use of modern technologies.
During a dynamic and interactive discussion, attendees gained specific insights into the threats increasingly affecting individuals, companies, and institutions, as well as practical recommendations for improving digital security in everyday operations and communication.
The lecture raised important questions about the future of cybersecurity at a time when artificial intelligence and emerging technologies present both new opportunities and new risks.
