We regret to inform you that the upcoming tournament, originally scheduled for May 2023, has been rescheduled for October 2023. The exact date of the rescheduled tournament in October will be published and communicated to all participants as soon as it is confirmed. This decision has been made due to an unexpected increase in the number of sign-ups, which has exceeded the capacity of our current facilities.
Additional efforts were made to provide enough room for all registered participants, but due to the short deadline, we will not be able to realize the tournament in the originally scheduled month. New facilities are currently being built on the site, which will provide adequate space for all players.
The participants who have made a payment will be contacted via phone or e-mail on April 18 for a refund. Participants who have booked accommodation will be contacted by the hotel to cancel the reservation.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your continued support and participation in our chess tournaments.

The International Slavic University is the organizer of the chess tournament Slavjanski 2023. The tournament will be held from 13th May 2023 to 14th May 2023 at Mayberry Lake Hotel in Pretor.
- А Tournament – Open
- B Tournament – competitors up to age of 16 (born in 2007 and younger) and rating up to 1800
All chess players with FIDE ID (A Tournament), up to the age of 16 (B Tournament) are entitled to take part. The organizer reserves the right to reject certain applications.

Game:
А Tournament:
- The tournament is played according to the Swiss System of 9 rounds, according to the FIDE Laws on Rapid Chess. The tournament shall be rated according to FIDE Rating Regulations.
- Game pace is 25 minutes with bonus of 10 seconds for each move, starting with the first. The organizer will provide the chess sets for all participants.
B Tournament:
- The tournament will be played according to the Swiss System of 7 rounds, according to FIDE Laws of Standard Chess. The tournament shall be rated according to FIDE Rating Regulations.
- Game pace is 35 minutes per player with bonus of 30 seconds for each move, starting with the first.
- The organizer will provide chess sets for all participants.
Awards:
The organizer provides а cup for the winners of the tournaments and medals and certificates for the categories up to the age of 16 (B tournament) and OPEN (A Tournament).
The total prize pool is 300.000 MKD

The closing ceremony of the tournament and the award ceremony will take place 30 minutes after the end of the last round.
The player can win only one award – the higher.
When two players are ranked the same:
The awards are not given and the ranking is done according to:
- Buchholz (-1),
- Buchholz,
- Greater number of tournament victories,
- Progress.

The technical conference will begin on May 13th at 9:45 a.m

Accommodation informations
Accommodation is at the Mayberry Lake Hotel in Pretor until the maximum number is reached, then in nearby accommodation facilities.
For the participants of the Chess Tournament, a special package is provided for 2 nights on May 12 and 13 on a full board basis (breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks not included).
- double room: 8,300 MKD (4,150 MKD per person)
- three-bed room: 12,000 MKD (4,000 MKD per person)
- four-bed room: 15,200 MKD(3,800 MKD per person)
The package includes: overnight stay on May 12 and 13 on a full board basis (breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks not included).
Reservations are made at lake@mayberryhotel.com or +389 72 308 340. To confirm the reservation, a payment of 30% of the entire amount of the reservation is required. Payment for the entire package must be made no later than 10 days before the tournament.
