About the University of Veliko Tarnovo

 



ISU is a partner for recruiting the doctoral students in the Republic of North Macedonia and the region.

In accordance with the bilateral agreement, the ISU is a partner for recruiting students at the doctoral studies within St. Cyril and St. Methodius, University of Veliko Tarnovo from Bulgaria, and a procedure for opening a university-related subsidiary within our university is being carried out now. Therefore, the enrollment of the MSc candidates and the realization of the program will be done at the International Slavic University.

The doctoral studies program is a mentoring program. The consultations with the mentor will be held at the International Slavic University “Gavrilo Romanovic Derzhavin” in Sveti Nikole.

The University of Veliko Tarnovo is the first Bulgarian university that was established outside of Sofia, Bulgaria. It was founded at the hill Sveta Gora (in Veliko Tarnovo) in the autumn in 1963.



Nowadays St Cyril and St. Methodius, Univeristy of Veliko Tarnovo is the largest Bulgarian university outside Sofia and it is a highly recognized center for arts and social sciences.  The University has developed a strong international cooperation with numerous institutions around the world. The highly qualified teaching staff of professors and lecturers, the large selection of study programs and the modern materials and technical conditions have made this university one of the best in Bulgaria.

The University is comprised of nine faculties that offer undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies, with a capacity of 15 000 students.
