Study program Educational psychology
The Educational Psychology study program is designed for students interested in exploring and improving the psychological processes related to learning, development, and the functioning of pupils and students within the educational system.
Students in this program study courses that provide up-to-date knowledge on cognitive, emotional, and social development, learning motivation, psychological support in schools, and methods to enhance educational practices. Mandatory practical training in educational institutions across the Republic of North Macedonia allows students to develop professional skills for working with pupils, parents, and teachers.
The program focuses on advancing knowledge and practical competencies through fieldwork, research projects, and the application of psychological techniques that support learning and development. Educational psychology is a key area of applied psychology, emphasizing the optimization of the educational process and the support of students’ developmental needs.
Applying the knowledge gained in educational psychology contributes to improving learning quality, reducing behavioral difficulties, and fostering a positive educational climate. The goal of this program is to prepare future professionals who will enhance the educational system, support students and teachers, and create healthy, stimulating learning environments.
Post-graduate studies
The program is based on the following principles:
Integration of theory and practical work in the fields of educational and developmental psychology.
Tailoring the studies to the individual interests of students through a selection of diverse elective courses.
Learning through the direct application of acquired knowledge in real educational settings, supported by mentoring and practical training in schools.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest findings in contemporary educational psychology and related disciplines through mandatory engagement with scientific and professional literature.
The program lasts one year, with a total of 60 ECTS credits, and provides specialized knowledge and competencies for work in educational institutions and projects focused on supporting learning and development.

Students who have earned at least 240 ECTS credits during their previous studies are eligible to enroll in the one-year (4+1) program. The program includes courses that students must complete over the two semesters.
Each semester features both mandatory and elective courses. From the offered electives, students choose subjects according to their interests, allowing the program to be tailored to their individual professional goals. The curriculum also includes the preparation and defense of a master’s thesis.
Upon completion of the program and the successful defense of the master’s thesis, students are awarded the professional title of Master of Psychological Sciences (Specialization: Educational Psychology).

Admission requirements
Candidates eligible to enroll in the second cycle (Master’s) studies are those who have completed a first cycle (Bachelor’s) program with at least 240 ECTS credits (four-year studies).
- Students from other accredited faculties and foreign nationals are also eligible to enroll (as regulated by law).
Enrollment is granted without the requirement to take an entrance exam.

When applying for enrollment in the second cycle (Master’s) studies, candidates must submit the following documents:
Diploma for completed first cycle (Bachelor’s) studies
Certificate of completed exams
Birth certificate
Photocopy of ID card
4 small color photographs
Application documents can be submitted at the premises of the International Slavic University in Sveti Nikole at 77 “Marshal Tito” Street and in Bitola at 90A “Prilepska” Street.
Tuition fees
For international students, the tuition fee is EUR 2030 per year. International students are required to pay the full amount of the yearly tuition fee at the beginning of the academic year.
