Responsibilities for Mobility of the Institution Holder of Charter


  1. Inter-institutional agreement between higher education institutions that meet up the criteria 
    • Learning mobility of Erasmus student is based on  inter-institutional agreements stipulated between the institutions participants that are Erasmus Charter holders.
    • In case of training, this condition is not applied between the sending and the receiving institutions.
  2. Recognition
    • The sending institution should fully recognize the activities successfully completed during the mobility.
    • The sending institution will fully recognize the ECTS credits that are obtained during the study period and traineeship which are part of the studying course. In exceptional cases, the traineeship period which is not part of the curriculum for study, the sending institution will ensure recognition issuing transcript of records and diploma supplements. Besides it is strongly encouraged the usage of the document Europass mobility.
  3. No fees
    • The students are exempted from paying fees for tuition, registration, examinations and access to laboratory and library facilities at
      the receiving institution.However, small fees may be charged for costs such as insurance, student unions and the use of miscellaneous material such as photocopies, laboratory products, on the same basis as these are charged to local students. In addition, the entitlement to any grant or loan awarded to students to study in their sending Erasmus+ institution must be maintained during the period abroad.
    •  Outbound students shall not be liable to any additional fees or charges in
      connection with the organisation or administration of their mobility period.
  4. Recognition and Learning agreement or Traineeship agreement 
    • Prior to their departure, each selected student must sign an agreement which includes also a “learning agreement” setting out the programme of studies and/or traineeship to be followed, as agreed by the student, the sending and the receiving organisation. Before the beginning of the student mobility for studies, the HEI is responsible to confirm that the study programme is acceptable for the host institution and compatible with he student’s degree-related education and guarantee a full recognition of the mobility period.
    • For student mobility, every student will receive a Learning agreement prior to the start of the mobility.  The sending and the receiving institution, together with the students, must have agreed on the activities to be undertaken by the students contained in the Learning agreement.
    • For traineeship mobility, the student must have signed a Learning agreement for traineeship for the period of traineeship; the sending and the receiving institution/organisation together with the student must have agreed on the activities to be undertaken by the student. During the first week of the mobility period, in order to fully understand each other, the student will talk with a mentor for the details about the assignments.
    • Every change that needs to be done on the Agreement which will prove to be necessary after the beginning of the mobility period, will be finalized and formalized in period of one month after the start of the mobility. Every additional change in the Learning agreement for study/traineeship must be formally approved by each side, the sending and receiving institution/organization, and the student, and must be applied immediately.
    • After successfully ended period of mobility, the receiving institution/organization/enterprise should issue a transcript of records or transcript of successfully ended traineeship which is according to the signed agreement between the three parties.
    • The credits or the period of traineeship will not be recognized by the sending instituion/organization/enterprise only in situations when the student haven’t reached the level of academic/professional achievements set by the sending institution/organization/enterprise or in other way doesn’t fulfill the agreed terms upon which the three parties agreed.
    • The Learning agreement for traineeship includes “Quality Commitment”. This commitment is a standard document which appoints the roles and the responsibilities of the both parties during the traineeship period.
  5. Erasmus Student Charter
    The Erasmus Student Charter highlights the rights and obligations of the student and every student receive it from the sending institution before the start of the mobility abroad.
