Study programs:

This study program at the Faculty of Psychology provides professional preparation for students and teaches them the basics steps of counseling and treatment of individuals, groups and communities in need of help.

The study program is suitable for those who want to take care of people, who would like to work on social change and do something about improving the quality of life on an individual and global level.



The studies can be in a period of one year (60 credits) or two years (120 credits). Students who have acquired at least 180 ECTS can enroll on the two year studies (3+2), while students who have acquired 240 ECTS can enroll on the one year studies.

Within the framework of the two year studies 7 courses are covered from which the student need to pass, while on the one year studies the number of courses is 4.

From the 4 elective courses, the students choose only 2 – between the first and the second, i.e. between the third and the forth, etc. E.g. only one course is chosen – either no. 3 or no. 4 (except if somewhere is appointed differently).

In the given table below Un. elective stands for university elective course and the same rules apply for choosing of these courses as well as the rules for the standard elective courses.

The study program lasts for two years (120 ECTS), and only students who have graduated with at least 180 ECTS can be enrolled.

The two-year studies consist of 7 courses. Students can choose only two from the four elective courses that are given in the table below (they can pick between the first and the second, the third and the fourth, etc). The Un. elective course refers to a university elective course and the same rules apply to the selection of these courses as for standard electives.

Additionally, the teaching includes practical classes, preparation of a master’s thesis, and finally the defense of a master’s thesis.

Upon completing the studies and preparing the master thesis, the student is awarded with a Мaster of Science degree.

Enrollment requirements


We can only enroll students who have graduated with at least 240 ECTS for the one-year study program, or 180 ECTS for the two-year study program.

The students should prepare all of the required documents, which depend on the country they come from. The international students may need to submit their Bachelor’s degree certificates for nostrification at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia. This should be done at least a month before applying for enrollment at our university.

The admissions process does not include entrance exams at the graduate level.


Tuition fees


The tuition fee per year is EUR 3030. International students pay the whole amount of the yearly tuition fee at the beginning of each academic year.
